Reviews

"This graphic novel features cleverly realized characters... Vivid illustrations with saturated colors create a fantastical backdrop for the fast-paced storyline... An action-packed, magic-filled exploration of natural resource abuse." — Kirkus Reviews

"The story is fast-paced and mostly focuses on the mystery, but there’s still space made for character development, and Hester, Anadil, and Dot all stand out with distinct personalities... This is a topical read for conservationist teens, and the monster-of-the-week story format leaves the door open to more adventures with the Witch Coven in the future."—The Bulletin of the Center for Children's BooksBulletin of the Center for Children’s Books

"This is the first graphic novel based on Chainani’s hit series “The School for Good and Evil,” and fans will be thrilled... The ¬illustrations are bright, energetic, and help keep the story as light as possible despite some bleak themes. A tense and exciting eco-thriller fantasy that highlights the importance of friendship and trust." — School Library Journal
